Oops

The US military has once again shown its inability to use simple word-processing software, with confidential details of their classified report into the death of Italian secret service agent Nicola Calipari being extracted from a Word document by a student. Exposed were the names and ranks of all the US soldiers involved - which will help immeasurably in the Italian government's efforts to extradite and prosecute them - as well as a recommendation that the US modify its checkpoint procedures to avoid killing more people. The latter is likely to be seen as an acknowledgement of guilt in Italy, and will only add to the pressure on the Italian government to withdraw from Iraq in protest.
