Freedom week

This week is Freedom Week, Amnesty International New Zealand's annual appeal. The money they raise goes towards supporting their global and national campaigns (for example, on Ahmed Zaoui, human rights in China, and internet censorship), and on helping victims of repressive governments around the world.

The easiest way to help is by calling 0900 HUMAN RIGHTS (0900 48626) to donate $20. Or you can text "free" to 883 to donate $3. They'll also have street collectors out on Friday and Saturday. Alternatively, you can join here.

Please help Amnesty International speak up for those who can't be heard.

(Date tweaked to keep this at the top until Saturday).
