Freedom week

This week is Freedom Week - Amnesty International's annual fundraiser. Throughout the week, Amnesty members will be participating in various fundraisers, including the Freedom Challenge and some home-organised dinners for dignity, culminating in their street appeal on Thursday and Friday. I'll be out there slinging a bucket for them on Friday; if you'd like to help, you can volunteer here. Otherwise, you can donate directly here.

Despite the worst excesses of our government, this is still a free country, and a good place to live. People like Amnesty help keep it that way. They also help make the world a better place by campaigning against torture, the death penalty, violence against women, and for arms control. Please help them keep up the good work this week.
