55,000 out of work under National

The Household Labour Force Survey is out, and unemployment has increased significantly, from 6.3% to 6.7%. All up, there are now 160,000 people out of work - 55,000 more than when National took office.

So much for the "recovery". And so much for Treasury's pie-in-the-sky promises of job and wage growth. Instead, we seem to be in an austerity-induced downward spiral, where any prospect of growth is swiftly killed by government cuts. But rather than recognising this problem, and ending its cause, National will instead simply blame the unemployed again and kick them some more.
